What is Lumyn Pro?
Lumyn Pro is a hands-free oral wellness device that combines 660nm red light, 850nm near-infrared (NIR) light, and 450nm blue light in a flexible U-shaped mouthpiece. It has two light modes designed to fit into your daily oral care routine.

What are the two Lumyn Pro modes?
Lumyn Pro has two modes:
- Mode 1 – Blue Light: 450nm blue light to support a brighter-looking smile.
- Mode 2 – Red + NIR: 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light for daily gum wellness support.
Do I need to have gum problems to use Lumyn Pro?
No. You don't need to wait until you notice gum concerns. Lumyn Pro is designed to support everyday gum and oral wellness, so you can make it part of your routine even when your gums feel healthy. Starting early and staying consistent is a simple way to support your oral wellness over time.
Can I use Lumyn Pro alongside regular dental cleanings and checkups?
Yes. Lumyn Pro is designed to complement, not replace, professional dental care. Keep up with regular checkups and cleanings from your dentist or dental hygienist. Continue brushing and flossing at home, too.
Is Lumyn Pro a medical device?
Lumyn Pro is a wellness device, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. It does not replace professional dental or medical care.
Does Lumyn Pro replace brushing and flossing?
No. Lumyn Pro works alongside your regular oral care routine. Keep brushing, flossing, and visiting your dentist or dental hygienist as recommended.
Red Light, Near-Infrared & Blue Light
What wavelengths does Lumyn Pro use?
Lumyn Pro uses three wavelengths.
- 450nm Blue Light
- 660nm Red Light
- 850nm Near-Infrared (NIR) Light
The 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light work together in Mode 2.
Why does Lumyn Pro combine 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light?
Red and near-infrared light reach different tissue depths. Lumyn Pro combines both wavelengths in its Red + NIR mode to support your daily gum wellness routine.
What is the blue light used for?
Lumyn Pro uses 450nm blue light in Mode 1 to support a brighter-looking smile. This mode is separate from the Red + NIR gum wellness mode.
Can I see the 850nm near-infrared light?
No. This is normal. 850nm near-infrared light is outside the visible spectrum, so you won't see it glow like red or blue light.
How many LEDs does Lumyn Pro have?
Lumyn Pro has a 32-LED array placed around the mouthpiece for broad coverage across the dental arch. It includes 16 blue LEDs and 16 dual-chip red/NIR LEDs.
Mouthpiece & Coverage
Does Lumyn Pro reach the back molars?
Yes. The Lumyn Pro mouthpiece is designed to provide light coverage across the dental arch, including the back molars (second molars). Wisdom teeth are not directly covered.
What are the dimensions of the Lumyn Pro mouthpiece?
The mouthpiece measures approximately 2.75 inches wide and 1.57 inches deep. It is made from a flexible material designed to gently adapt to the shape of your mouth.
Will Lumyn Pro fit my mouth?
The flexible U-shaped mouthpiece is designed to fit most adult mouths and provide comfortable coverage across the dental arch. No measuring, molding, or custom fitting is needed.
Does Lumyn Pro cover both the upper and lower teeth?
Yes. The U-shaped mouthpiece is designed to provide coverage across both the upper and lower dental arch during the same session.
Does Lumyn Pro cover wisdom teeth?
Lumyn Pro is designed to reach the back molars, including the second molars. Wisdom teeth sit farther back and are not directly covered.
Using Lumyn Pro
How do I use Lumyn Pro?
Clean the mouthpiece before first use. Press and hold the power button for about 1.5 seconds to turn Lumyn Pro on. Place the mouthpiece comfortably in your mouth. Briefly touch the control to switch between light modes. Each session lasts 10 minutes. Lumyn Pro turns off automatically when the session is complete.
How do I switch between Lumyn Pro modes?
Press and hold the power button for about 1.5 seconds to turn Lumyn Pro on. Briefly touch the control to switch between modes. The touch control responds to contact, so there is no need to press hard.
How long does a Lumyn Pro session last?
Each session lasts 10 minutes. Lumyn Pro turns off automatically when the session is complete.
How often should I use Lumyn Pro?
Use Lumyn Pro as directed in the User Manual and do not exceed the recommended use. Consistency matters more than extending the length of a session.
Should I perform a light sensitivity test before using Lumyn Pro?
Yes. For your first use, complete one full 10-minute session as described in the Light Sensitivity Test instructions. Pay attention to any unusual sensitivity or discomfort. If you experience unusual discomfort or sensitivity, stop using the device.

What is the light intensity of Lumyn Pro?
Lumyn Pro has the following irradiance specifications:
- 450nm Blue: 17 ± 3 mW/cm²
- 660nm Red: 11.5 ± 1.5 mW/cm²
- 850nm NIR: 5 ± 2 mW/cm²
These values show the specified output for each wavelength.
What battery does Lumyn Pro use?
Lumyn Pro has a built-in 3.7V, 300mAh rechargeable battery. The battery is built into the device and is not user-replaceable.
Charging & Battery
How do I charge Lumyn Pro?
Connect the magnetic charger to the charging contacts on Lumyn Pro. Plug the USB-C end into a USB-C wall adapter rated 5V/2A. Make sure the charging area is completely dry before charging.
What type of charging cable does Lumyn Pro use?
Lumyn Pro comes with a magnetic USB-C charging cable. The magnetic end connects to the device. The USB-C end connects to a compatible USB-C wall adapter.
Is the charging cable included?
Yes. A magnetic USB-C charging cable is included with Lumyn Pro.
Is a USB-C wall adapter included?
No. A USB-C wall adapter is not included. Use a compatible USB-C wall adapter rated 5V/2A.
How long does Lumyn Pro take to charge?
A full charge takes about 90 minutes. The indicator flashes blue while charging and stays blue when the device is fully charged.
How many sessions can I get from one charge?
A fully charged Lumyn Pro provides approximately 10 uses, depending on use.
Cleaning & Care
How do I clean and care for Lumyn Pro?
Wipe the device with a clean, damp cloth. Do not let any liquid enter the device interior. For stubborn stains, use 70% isopropyl alcohol. Never submerge the controller in water. Ensure the charging area is completely dry before charging.
Can I share Lumyn Pro with another person?
For hygiene reasons, Lumyn Pro is intended for individual use and should not be shared.

Is Lumyn Pro safe to use?
Lumyn Pro is designed for personal oral wellness when used as directed in the User Manual. Always follow the recommended session time, cleaning instructions, and safety precautions provided with your device.
Who should talk to a healthcare professional before using Lumyn Pro?
Talk to a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or nursing, sensitive to light, take medication that may increase light sensitivity, or have a condition that may affect your response to light. Do not use Lumyn Pro over suspicious or unexplained oral lesions without first talking to a healthcare professional. Lumyn Pro is intended for adults. Keep it away from children.
What should I do if I experience discomfort while using Lumyn Pro?
Stop using Lumyn Pro if you experience unusual pain, irritation, sensitivity, or discomfort. If it continues or you have concerns about your oral health, talk to your dentist or another qualified healthcare professional.

Does Lumyn Pro come with a warranty?
Yes. Lumyn Pro comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized repairs or changes, improper care, or normal wear and tear.
What should I do if my Lumyn Pro isn't working properly?
